Join Melissa Mercury on a six week course to kickstart your tarot journey. An inclusive course for all who want to learn how to read tarot. This course is a deep dive into the world of tarot that will teach you everything you need to know to start reading tarot for yourself and others with confidence and in a style unique to you. If you've ever felt that tarot doesn't represent you, or you've been put off by outdated stereotypes, then this is for you! Learn how to create your own narrative. Tarot should be accessible to all and this course will support you in finding your own meaning in the tarot. During this course you’ll work on forming a deep and meaningful connection to your chosen tarot deck, rather than trying to memorise 78 cards. The course will cover: + The Major Arcana card meanings + The Minor Arcana card meanings + The Court Cards card meanings + Tarot history and traditions - and a little rebellion against some of them! + How to read tarot spreads (a variety of spreads included) + How to read for others + Links between tarot and astrology Each session will be held live over Zoom from 7:30pm - 9pm BST on Mondays from 15th May - 19th June, with each class recorded and emailed over so you never have to miss a class. On top of this, you will receive 2 x 1hr one on one private Zoom lessons with Melissa Mercury to support your learning and develop your tarot reading skills. During these sessions you can practise reading tarot and get personalised advice on how to hone your reading style and build your confidence. These will be bookable after the first class. There will be PDF versions of all the lessons available for you to download along with a mini-library of tarot spreads and optional homework assignments. You will also be invited to join your classmates in a private WhatsApp group to support your studies… and to share tarot memes. The structure of the course is based around the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck, but it is encouraged to get a deck that you can relate to, ideally one that is fully illustrated. Good alternative options based on this structure include The Modern Witch Tarot Deck or The Cosmic Slumber Tarot Deck.
